Session Description: Selecting Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) can be a daunting task. There are many variables to consider such as quality, availability, fit and what is appropriate. Sometimes PPE is implemented into an H&S program without much understanding of its function or how it should protect the worker. This session will look at what needs to be assessed before PPE implementation as well as what to consider when implementing various types of PPE including respiratory protection into a workplace.

Note: This session is focused on industrial workplaces that may require PPE due to chemical or biological agents produced during industrial operations and processes and not focused on COVID-19
