Yang is the CEO of Micromart, a Toronto-based technology company pioneering modern Smart Stores. He has led the company’s rapid expansion to more than 1,500 locations in just over a year, empowering over 400 operators across the network.
Prior to Micromart, Yang co-founded KitchenMate, an unattended fresh meal service that grew to 100+ locations before its acquisition in 2025. Yang studied Computer Science at the University of Toronto.

Meet the Panelists

Jeff Schiller
Heritage Coffee

Jeff Schiller brings more than 30 years of experience in the office coffee and refreshment services industry, with a career spanning entrepreneurship, operations, and national account leadership. 
Jeff founded, scaled, and successfully sold an OCS business in Windsor, Ontario, and was asked to stay on with the new company, where he served as Regional Manager for Southwestern Ontario for over two decades. 
Jeff later held the role of Vice President, Loyalty Markets in Toronto and currently serves as Manager of National Accounts with Heritage Coffee.
Jeff continues to contribute to the coffee industry in many ways and currently sits on the Board of Directors with the Coffee Association of Canada.

Amanda-Marie Spilchen
The Pelican Group

Amanda-Marie Spilchen is a merchandising strategy specialist with extensive hands-on experience in Canada’s vending and micro market sector. Through her work with The Pelican Group,  Amanda-Marie supports a national network of operators, helping them expand into micro markets and strengthen backend operations for long-term profitability. Known for her practical, experience-driven approach, she brings real-world insight into what it takes to succeed in today’s evolving Canadian unattended retail landscape.
